On Sunday, we were at my parent's house. Emmy was on my dad's lap and he was eating his nuts (I think they are his favorite food :) ). While we were eating dinner, I noticed she had hives on her arms and she was scratching everywhere. Her face even had hives and one of her eyes was swollen. The oil from the nuts got on Emmy and gave her hives! It was so sad! If you don't remember, I talked about Emmy's food allergies HERE. I guess we have to be more careful around Emmy!

O man at lest you where there to help her.
it's scary huh!! allyson is allergic to all nuts -we thought at first just peanuts, walnuts and pecans, but a while ago she and my niece were making sugar cookies with my mom and she got almond extract on her and broke out in hives--i have to keep benadryl close by at all times just in case!
Oh that stinks that even being around nuts can give her an allergic reaction! Will she ever grow out of it or will she have it the rest of her life?
She'll probably have it the rest of her life :( She's allergic to eggs, too, but I'm hoping she'll grow out of that one.
Oh no! I can't imagine being allergic to peanuts, i LOVE peanut butter, that is terrible, poor little Emmy!
Wow! That is crazy that just a little bit would give her hives. Bria is allergic to grass, and gets hives when she plays in it. I think that's sad because how can you not play in the grass?
So sad, and scary! I hope Jett doesn't have any alleries!
