Emmy

I had to blog about some things that Emmy is doing lately. I. JUST. LOVE. HER. She makes me laugh and smile all day, everyday. She is getting so smart and I don't want to forget what she is like at this age, 19 months.

She sings all the time. I love it when she does it! Her newest song is "we're happy" sung over and over again. I need to get it on camera! I'll definitely have to post it, because it is hillarious.

She always says, "what happened?" She drops a toy and she says it. She throws her food off her highchair tray and she says it. I make a noise and she says it. She seriously says it ALL THE TIME! Again, it's hillarious!

Her new favorite movie is Finding Nemo. I ask her if she wants to watch a movie and she doesn't say "yes", she says, "Momo" which is her word for Nemo. So cute!

Everywhere we go, people ALWAYS tell us how adorable she is. It's because of her beautiful face, her gorgeous curly hair, and her awesome personality. She has the attention of everyone wherever we go!

Since it's summertime and we've been outside a lot, her skin is getting so dark! It's gorgeous! I wish my skin was like that, but luckily she has her daddy's dark skin. She's not as dark as her dad, but she's not as white as me - she's a perfect combination of the two of us!

In the morning, if she's in bed with me (Jake usually leaves for work before we even get up), she'll lean over and just start giving me kisses. I'll pretend like I'm asleep and she'll just keep doing it, on the lips. It's one of my favorite things :) And she wakes up around 8 or 8:30 everyday (thank you!!! It used to be about 7:00 but she's been sleeping in lately and I love it) and takes a 2 hour nap around 12:30 or 1:00 (random to post about, but just things that I want to remember . . .)

She LOVES the daycare at the gym! Luckily it's the only daycare she goes to. She loves it because of the great girls that work there. They all love her so much and everyday they tell me how cute she was that day.

If someone asks her a question, like "who wants milk?", she'll yell, "I do!" She's really talking like crazy these days.

She feeds herself everything now - cold cereal and all. She's a pro with a spoon and can eat the whole bowl of cereal, cleans the whole bowl, every last cheerio!

Our little girl is growing up and getting so big. We love her so much - she brings so much joy into our lives!!! What did we do before we had her? Life must have been pretty boring :)

And lots more pics . . .

My sister, Lindsey, put a pool in her backyard this summer, so Emmy and I have taken advantage and gone down to visit a little more than usual :)

All you Speechly's, can you believe this was grandma and grandpa's backyard??? It looks so good! I posted some pics of the backyard so you can see what it looks like.

Ok, so this isn't a pic of the pool or anything, but I had to post it. She loves wearing this bandana that she got from her cousin Grey's bday party! She says "aaaargh!" when we put it on her!
These first pics are just of Lindsey's pool & hot tub. I wanted to post them for the family. It's in the back right of the yard if you are looking out the back door. She bought my gma's house and totally re-did it, and the backyard! Maybe I can get her to post pics of the house . . .
They put this play area in the back left side of the yard.
Another pic of the pool w/ the fun waterfall and slide
My sweet girl . . . she has the darkest eyes, almost black. They are beautiful!!!
She does this when I say to her "Emmy, go like this." She doesn't even look at me anymore when I say it, she just poses! It's so funny!
Playing with Ella. Dylan and Ella are both Ella now. When she see's Ella, she screams, "Ella!". When she see's Dylan, she screams, "Ella!" So funny . . .

Ella's sweet little face :)

Some recent pic's

We've been pretty busy here at our house. Between me going back to work part-time and doing "summer" things, I haven't had too much time to blog, so here's some pic's to catch you up. I'll have a lot more to post later this week. I just can't keep up! I was just going to post a couple pics but there were too many cute ones, I couldn't resist!

She looks like a little angel here!

I LOVE this pic, she's totally squising her mouth and nose against the window - she didn't want to come inside, just wanted to peek inside :)
We got her a little pool. She started splashing - the next couple pic's go in sequence w/ this one . . .
Having fun splashing . . .
LOVING splashing!!! I absolutely love her face here! Classic!

Footprints . . . why is she so sweet?
Look at those squishy legs!

Happy Father's Day!!!

The day Emmy was born
Our first glimpse of Emmy's curly hair. I love this pic!
So cute, she fell asleep like that
Bridal Veil Falls last Memorial Day Weekend
A couple of weeks ago, playing dress-up. She had on 2 pairs of pants, a shirt, a dress and others that we had taken off before this pic was taken. Oh, and daddy's shoe :)

My husband is the BEST DAD EVER!!!! So I'm so glad I have a day that I get to let him know how much I really appreciate him. He is so involved in Emmy's life, she is so lucky to have such a great dad. He never hesitates to change a diaper, give a bath or just spend some quality time with his little girl. We love you so much and feel so lucky to have you in our lives!

And I also want to say Happy Father's Day to my dad. You are so amazing, funny and just fun to be around. Jake and I both love you so much and are so happy to have you in our lives!!!
