For those of you who know my dad, you know how awesome he is. You also know that he doesn't have the best health. Especially lately, his asthma has been really bad. After my parents moved here, they found out that my dad is most allergic to Juniper tree's, which basically makes up 90% of the trees in our town. So this week he is in Denver at the National Jewish Hospital hoping to find something that will help him breathe better. Most people have 100% lung capacity, he has about 20% or so. So please keep him in your prayers! We are hoping they can find something more about his asthma or something that will just help him to function better. These past couple years have been the worst I've ever seen him, although he never lets you know how bad it really is. Good luck this week, dad!!! We love you and are keeping you in our prayers!!!
***UPDATE***
My dad is home from Denver now. The dr's discovered that he has Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis, or ABPA. It's a fungus that is throughout his whole body. It's sort of like Valley Fever, if you've ever heard of that. You get it from fungus in dirt, leaves, etc. and it's not contagious. They have him on some steroids and strong anti-biotics. His asthma will never go away but his breathing will hopefully get better. He also found out that only one lung is working. So keep praying for him!!!
